who TF do we
think we are?
Lots of "unholy crossover" mashups that exaggerate our collective distractions, plus… emotional extremes! Stim out before we sim out. Fringe, avant-garde musical comedies with a punk and post punk atmosphere, and post-pardum music.
Featured at The People's Improv Theater, Bushwick Comedy Club, Soho Playhouse, Revision Lounge, and Green Room 42.
"There's a vicarious liberation to the bi-partison golden showers in Third Term the Musical (January 6th 2)."
"Nintendo 64 vs Playstation the Musical is a brilliant commentary on our tribal glitch as human computers, Mario's cuck scenes with Peach and Bowser notwithstanding."
"Half the audience is secretly in the play, so don't be humiliated by the NPC interactions before curtain."
"A high energy, chaotic blend of musical comedy, improv, and absurdist humor. A focus on nostalgic or 'cringey' pop culture. Overall, expect a production to feel less like a traditional theater experience and more like a rowdy, experimental comedy event where the line between scripted performance and unhinged improvisation is intentionally blurred."

"While deathly bored of sucking at stand up, I tried this improv Weird Al style type thing on guitar and people liked it 40% better. But then I got banned from a comedy club for using a knife as a guitar pic for a Taking Back Sunday song. So I decided to just write an entire dumb musical.
Sopranos & Snakes on a Plane on Ice the Half Improv Musical really sucked too. My comedy friends made fun of me, and I couldn't even tell my real friends the title. Back on Linkedin for a data entry job, I made a deal with myself to try one more time before quitting for realsies. It was high stakes emotionally, and I'll never forget the $90 Uber ride with all the props, dressed as Paulie Walnuts, again.
After four months of re-writes and re-casting, I remember thinking, 'This will be the best or most embarrassing thing I've ever done.' All I can say is three years later, it's impossible to ever be deathly bored of sucking at anything again. The flow they talk about, where time stands still, that type of thing— a modicum of freedom, inherently owned.
Every stand up comedian who went along with this theater gambit for me also acknowledges that none of us knows what we're doing, and it's beautiful. For some reason I didn't puke in that existential Uber and run away, like would be typical. But something error404_'d, and I finished, and now I am addicted to finishing. 8==D-"
